How to Talk to a Physician

1. Learn about where they went to medical school, residency, and fellowship (if applicable).

2. Read the last paper they published in the past year.

3. Read their online academic bio to learn about their current interests.

4. Google their name and see what other articles, videos, and/or podcasts come up in the past year.

5. Check the latest keynotes/hot topics on procedures/therapies presented at their specialty’s annual conference.

Now go ask them about their experience with any of those things, sit back, and just shut up.

The key to talking to a physician is……you don’t do the talking.

You do the listening and learning.
